MSC Dytran 是MSC.Software 公司的核心產品之一, 專門適用於高速瞬態非線性動力問題, 瞬態流固耦合問題的數值仿真。
從1988年開始, MSC 在結構瞬態動力響應軟件DYNA3D框架下開發了MSC Dyna並於1990年發布了第一個版本。該程序繼承了DYNA3D優異??的快速顯式積分算法和豐富的材料模式, 採用MSC.Nastran的輸入數據格式, 可用於分析各種非線性瞬態響應, 如高速撞擊、 接觸摩擦、沖壓成型等。
1993年MSC 發布了MSC Dytran的第一個商業版本。該產品集MSC.Dyna和MSC.PISCES 3D之大成, 拉格朗日和歐拉算法優勢互補, 成為第一個能夠模擬複雜流固耦合問題、高度非線性、瞬態動力響應的大型商用軟件，適合於模擬國防軍工領域常見的爆炸、穿甲等流固耦合問題, 在國防、航空航天、核安全、石化等領域有廣泛應用。在隨後的發展中, MSC Dytran在單元庫、 數據結構、 前後處理等方面與MSC的旗艦產品MSC Nastran趨於一致。
在問世的十餘年中, MSC Dytran歷經無數航空、 航天、汽車、造船、鐵路、國防、核工業等領域科研和工程項目考驗。該軟件的開發環境經過ISO認證, 每天都要通過500個以上例題的自動測試以保證程序的可靠性和穩定性。 2003年MSC.Software公司與LSTC公司達成全球戰略合作協議，將LS-DYNA程序完全集成入MSC Dytran。此功能在Windows, UNIX和Linux操作系統上均可方便實現。計算高效，求解穩定。 MSC將最強的Lagrange技術與最強的Euler、耦合技術相結合，形成功能最為強大的非線性顯式有限元軟件。
Dytran is an explicit finite element analysis (FEA) solution for analyzing complex nonlinear behavior involving permanent deformation of structures. Dytran enables you to study the structural integrity of designs to ensure that final products s??tand a better chance of meeting customer safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
With increased demand for safety and reliability of products, companies see a need for additional testing. However, destructive testing of physical prototypes is expensive and time consuming. While simulation can provide a solution, it is also important to use the right solution that is robust and accurate.
Dytran delivers a structural, material flow and coupled FSI capabilities in a single package. Dytran's explicit nonlinear solver technology is ideal for extreme, short-duration events and allows you simulate models that involve high degree of nonlinearities – material, geometric and boundary condition nonlinearities. Dytran uses a unique coupling feature that enables integrated analysis of structural components with fluids and highly deformed materials in one continuous simulation.
