Samplephonics spent a lot of time trying different signal chains during recording

to find one that suited Angie.s voice the best. Eventually they settled on an AKG

C12 microphone and an Avalon VT-737SP vacuum tube preamp. which really gave a

beautiful silky texture and warmth to her voice. and a little grit when driven hard.
