Anti-spamimprovementsareincludedinthereleaseoftheintegratedversion2ofMicrosoftExchangeIntelligentMessageFilter,andSenderID,whichisanindustry-standardframework.Version2ofIntelligentMessageFiltercontainssignificantimprovementsintheanti-spamareaforSP2.

ForExchangeServer2003StandardEdition,thehard-codedlicensingdatabasesizelimithasbeenincreasedfrom16GBto75GB.Theadministratorcansetaprotectivedatabasesizelimit(preventunintentionaldatabasesizegrowth).Thedefaultvaluewillbe18GBinSP2forStandardEditionandthedefaultcanbechanged.

Publicfoldersarenowmoremanageable.Administratorscannowtrackwhodeletedpublicfolders,stopandresumepublicfolderreplication,synchronizethepublicfolderhierarchy,propagateaccesscontrollist(ACL)changesthroughpublicfolderhierarchy,andpropagatereplicalistchangesthroughthepublichierarchy.Manyoftheimprovementsworktowardminimizingtheeffectofreplicationstorms.

Thereisanewversionoftheofflineaddressbook(OAB4.0)thatfeaturesthereductionintheOABsize,differentialOABupdatefiles,indexingbasedonlocalesetting,andimproveddiagnosticlogging.
