關於課程主講人：
DavidW.Blight是耶魯大學1954級，研究美國歷史，及奴隸制的反抗和廢除的theGilderLehrman中心主任教授.他寫過很多書籍，包括ASlaveNoMore:TwoMenWhoEscapedtoFreedom,RaceandReunion；TheCivilWarinAmericanMemory（憑這本書他獲得了美國Bancroft,AbrahamLincoln,andFrederickDouglass獎）以及BeyondtheBattlefield:Race,Memory,andtheAmericanCivilWar，他也跟別人共同編寫了是美國歷史暢銷教科書：APeopleandaNation.
