ManageMode
Managemodeisthemainbrowsingandmanagingcomponentoftheuserinterface,andiswhatyouseewhenyoustartACDSeeusingtheshortcuticononyourdesktop.InManagemode,youcanfind,move,preview,andsortyourfiles,andaccessorganizationandsharingtools.

Managemodeconsistsof15panes,mostofwhichcanbeclosedwhennotinuse.TheFileListpaneisalwaysvisible,anddisplaysthecontentsofthecurrentfolder,theresultsofyourlatestsearch,orthefilesinyourdatabasethatmatchyourfilteringcriteria.AstatusbaratthebottomoftheManagemodewindowdisplaysinformationaboutthecurrentlyselectedfile,folder,orcategory.

Youcanopenandclosepanes,movethemtodifferentareasofyourscreen,andstackthemonotherpanesordockthemtotheedgeofthewindow.Mostpanesalsohaveadditionaloptionsyoucansettofurthercustomizetheirbehaviorandappearance.

Managemodealsofeaturesatoolbarandasetofdrop-downmenus.Thetoolbarprovidesbuttonsforyourhomefolder,andfornavigatingforwardsandbackwardsthroughyourfolders.Thedrop-downmenusprovidequickaccesstothemostcommontasks.

PhotosMode
Photosmodecanbeusedtoviewyourentireimagecollectionbydate.Youcanviewthembyyear,month,orday.IfyouhaveMicrosoftOneDriveyoucantoggleviewingyourOneDriveimagecollectionalongwiththeimagecollectiononyourharddrive,orjustyourharddrivecollectiononitsown.Photosmodeonlydisplaysimagesthathavebeencataloged.ImagesinPhotosmodearedisplayedbythedatetheyweretaken,asindicatedintheimages'EXIFdata.

Photosmodeconsistsoftwopanes,theDatepaneandTimelinepane.TheDatepanedisplaysallofyourcatalogedphotocollectionbydate.TheTimelinepanedisplaystheyearandmonthofyourphotosandhowmanyphotosareineach.Youcanalsoselectindividualimagestolaunchtheminothermodes.

ViewMode
InViewmodeyoucanplaymediafilesanddisplayimagesinfullresolution,oneatatime.Youcanalsoopenpanestoviewimageproperties,displayareasofanimageatvaryingmagnifications,orexaminedetailedcolorinformation.

YoucanopenViewmodebyselectinganimageandclickingontheViewmodetab,andyoucanusetheFilmstripinViewmodetoflipquicklybetweenallofthefilesinafolder.Viewmodecontainsatoolbarwithshortcutstocommonly-usedcommands,andastatusbaratthebottomofthewindow,whichdisplaysinformationaboutthecurrentimageormediafile.

EditMode
EditmodeworksontheimagedataalreadyrenderedtoRGB.EditsareindependentlyappliedtotheconvertedRGBdataintheorderthatyoudothem.Thischaineditinggivesyoufullcontroloverthepixels,allowingcreativefreedomtoapplypreciseadjustments.Thismakesoperationssuchasselectionsandblendmodespossible.

365Mode
365modeprovidesaneasywaytouploadimagesto365.acdsee.comtosharewithyourcontactsorthepublic.In365mode,youcanselecttheimagesonyourcomputerandthendraganddropthemdirectlyinto365.acdsee.com.

DashboardMode
Dashboardmodeallowsyoutoquicklyaccessandbrowsefile,camera,anddatabasestatisticsbasedonyourACDSeedatabaseandEXIFinformation.AsDashboardmodereliesoninformationderivedfromyourdatabase,itisimportanttocataloginordertogetthemostoutofit.
