Ihavetaughtcomputerlabtopreschoolchildrenfortwoyearsandhaveusedthisprogrambothyearswithmuchsuccess.Itisagreatgameformyolder3yearoldstudentsandmy4-5yearoldstudents.Theboyslovetherocketshipshootingshapesgame,andeveryonethinksthepiefightisfunny.Thepuzzlegameisalsopopular.

TheonlyproblemthatIhavehadwiththisgameisthatthemenuscanbehardforayoungchildtonavigateifheisunfamiliarwithit-somerequirereading(ie"start"or"play").Butoncetheyhaveanunderstandingofhowtomakethegameswork,theydowonderfully.

Ihavealsonoticedthattheonlywaytoexitthepiefightgameistolose-ifyoukeepansweringcorrectly,itwillplayalmostindefinitely(morethan10minutesinapreschoolers'mindisFOREVER).YoushouldseethelookofconfusionwhenItellachildthathemustLOSEthegameinordertoplaysomethingelse-theyaresoprogramedtoonlyWIN!

Overall,Irecommendthisgametoanyonewithpreschoolers.

Myjust-turned-four-year-old*loved*thisCD!Wecheckeditoutfromthelibrary,andafterplayingitwithhim,andseeinghowmuchhelearned&howmuchhelovedit,weboughtit.TheJukeboxgameencouragedtheemergingskillofrhyming.TheStarPatrolreinforcedshapes,andencourgedlearningsomenewones(hexagon,etc.).ThePiegamewashisfavorite.Thisgameencourgedsorting(same,different,slightlydifferent).We'veplayedmanyaCD-rom,andthisone,byfar,istheeasiestonparents.Noannoyingsoundsorvoices.Andtheanimationlooksjustlikethebook,soit'sfamiliarandsoothing.Helpothercustomersfindthemosthelpfulreviews

Wecheckedthisoutfromthelibrary(actuallyitisanearlyversioncalled"CuriousGeorgeEarlyLearningGames")andour21/2yearolddaughterlovedit.Shefindstheerrorsignsamusing(eg.apieintheface).Welikeitbecausethevoicesaresmoothandnon-irritative;theyarenormalspeechinappropriatepitch,andthereforeeasytounderstand.Furthermore,thewordsflowtogetherwell,withoutthetypicalcomputerpauses.Bestofall,thisprogramhasaverynicepuzzlegame,whichplaystooneofourdaughter'sstrengths.
